Description: Waterville Valley Summer Camp (WVSC) “A Sports for a Lifetime Academy” was created with the vision of a summer camp that combines the benefits of a traditional camp experience with a program that provide quality instruction on sports and activities that kids can enjoy for the rest of their lives. By assembling a group of quality instructors usually only found in dedicated intensive sports camps catering to the exceptional athlete in spectacular setting, our goal is to introduce campers to activities they can enjoy throughout their lives, develop their skills to the point where they can continue to pursue these sports at their own pace, and have fun while learning new activities. We do this in a camp setting that is unsurpassed in New England – in the heart of New Hampshire’s beautiful White Mountain National Forest. There are certain sports - tennis, swimming, golf, biking and hiking- that you can learn as a child and then go on to practice and participate in well into adulthood. The valuable skills and lessons learned from these sports - patience, competition, and a sense of accomplishment - also last a lifetime. With a balance of structure and freedom that ensures maximum safety and enjoyment, WVSC emphasizes broad participation, team effort, communication and, of course, fun and friendship. There couldn’t be a better location for a summer camp -18 tennis courts with a backdrop of seven 4,000-ft peaks; a nine-hole, par 32 golf course with panoramic views; Corcoran’s pond for boating, swimming and beach activities; over 100 miles of hiking and biking trails spread over 770,000 pristine acres in the White Mountain National Forest, so unspoiled nature is right outside our door! |
